The Montes Claros Karst is located on the eastern margin of Bambuí Basin, one covers São Francisco Craton affected by Brasiliano Event, which deformed limestones Lagoa do Jacaré Formation, creating a westward folding system and pair fractures F1 (NNE-SSW) F2 (WNW-ESE). These structures control circulation water in limestone massifs, leading to development karst. main features karst landscape are caves, valleys, dolines massifs. caves best place observe sedimentary facies as well deformational structures. controls cave conduits fractures. same directions described regional local scale, shows us that structural exocarst endocarst. This geological field guide didactic way favoured formation typical morphologies rocks.
